Frequently Asked Questions

  • I work with individuals of all ages. The majority of my clients are middle school–aged through older teens, as this is where I have the most experience. I also work with a small number of adults, which I truly enjoy, though those clients are less common.

This allows me to tailor my approach to each person’s developmental stage while still offering flexible, individualized support.

  • Getting started begins with a free introductory session. This first meeting gives us time to connect, build comfort, and make sure the support is a good fit for your child and family.

    During this session, I:

    • Spend about 30 minutes meeting with your child, getting to know them and how they experience the world

    • Spend about 30 minutes meeting with parents, talking through what you’re noticing at home and what you’d like support with

This session is focused on understanding your child’s strengths, needs, and goals — not on testing or pressure. From there, we discuss next steps and what ongoing support could look like.

My goal is to create a plan that feels supportive, realistic, and aligned with your child’s needs.

  • At True Understanding Online Autism Coaching, all services are provided through one-on-one coaching with me directly. I bring multiple years of hands-on experience working with autistic and neurodivergent individuals, allowing me to offer consistent, informed, and personalized support.

In many larger centers, children may work with rotating staff or individuals who are still gaining experience. While those models can be helpful, I chose to create a practice where families know exactly who their child is working with and can trust in the continuity and depth of experience provided.

    This approach allows for:

    • Stronger relationships and trust

    • Highly individualized support

    • Consistent strategies that build over time

My focus is on quality, understanding, and meaningful progress — not volume.

    Invest in Your Child’s Growth
Ongoing coaching is an investment in skills, confidence, and well-being. With consistent support, families often see meaningful improvements in daily life, emotional regulation, and independence — helping both your child and your family thrive.

  • I bring over 6 years of hands-on experience supporting autistic and neurodivergent individuals and their families. During that time, I’ve worked with more than 150 clients, helping children, teens, and a few adults build skills in areas like emotional regulation, executive functioning, sensory management, communication, and independence.

I am neurodivergent myself and have ADHD, which gives me lived experience alongside my professional expertise. This combination allows me to understand the unique needs of each client and provide strategies that truly work for their brains.

All coaching is one-on-one, allowing me to provide consistent, personalized guidance that centers each child’s strengths while supporting areas of challenge.

My focus is on building trust, skills, and confidence — not forcing anyone to change who they are.

  • The best way to get in touch is via email, as I’m usually busy and unable to take unscheduled calls. Once we connect, we can schedule your free introductory session. During this meeting, I’ll get to know your child, hear about your goals, and answer any questions you have.

This session is completely free and helps us determine if ongoing coaching is the right fit for your family. Afterward, we can discuss weekly or biweekly sessions and create a schedule that works best for you and your child.

  • At this time, I do not accept insurance. Currently, most insurance providers do not classify coaching as a billable or covered service. Coaching is considered personalized skill-building and support, which is different from therapy or medical treatment under insurance guidelines.

I focus on providing one-on-one, individualized support that is flexible, consistent, and tailored to your child’s needs — something that insurance often cannot cover. Many families find that investing in ongoing coaching provides meaningful, practical support that complements other services your child may be receiving.

  • Item descriptionI am based in Colorado, in the Mountain Time Zone, but I work with families all across the United States. Because all sessions are held securely online, you can connect from anywhere — and I make scheduling as flexible as possible to accommodate different time zones.
