About True Understanding Online Autism Coaching
Hi, I’m Elena, and I’m so glad you’re here.
At True Understanding Online Autism Coaching, my goal is simple: to provide personalized, compassionate, and effective support for autistic and neurodivergent children, teens, and their families. I know firsthand how challenging navigating the world can be when your child thinks, feels, or experiences things differently — and I also know how transformative understanding, patience, and the right support can be.
My Story
I am neurodivergent myself and have ADHD, which gives me lived experience alongside my professional knowledge. This perspective informs everything I do — from understanding sensory overload to executive functioning struggles, emotional regulation challenges, and the daily realities of navigating school, home, and social life as a neurodivergent individual.
Over the past 6+ years, I’ve worked with more than 150 clients, helping children, teens, and a few adults build skills, confidence, and independence. I’ve seen firsthand how one-on-one coaching, tailored to the individual’s strengths and needs, can transform not only daily routines but also self-esteem, communication, and family relationships.
Why I Started My Own Practice
Throughout my career, I noticed a gap in consistent, individualized coaching. Many centers have rotating staff, or clients work with people who are still gaining experience. I wanted to create something different: a space where families know exactly who is supporting their child, and where that support is consistent, experienced, and fully individualized.
By offering one-on-one coaching through secure online sessions, I can focus entirely on your child’s needs, provide flexible scheduling, and create a safe, judgment-free space for learning and growth.
How I Work With Families
Every child is unique, and so is every coaching plan. My approach is strengths-based and neurodivergence-affirming. I work with children and teens to develop practical life skills while helping families feel confident and supported.
Common areas of focus include:
Emotional regulation – helping children identify, manage, and communicate feelings
Executive functioning – building routines, organization, and planning skills
Sensory support – strategies for sensory overload, transitions, and daily tasks
Communication & self-advocacy – building confidence and expression
Parent collaboration – keeping parents informed and involved in strategies and progress
Every session is tailored to the child, paced to their needs, and designed to build independence, skills, and confidence over time.
What Makes My Coaching Different
Experience – 6+ years and 150+ clients
Consistency – all coaching is one-on-one with me, no rotating staff
Lived understanding – I know what it’s like to navigate the world as a neurodivergent individual
Flexible online access – sessions from home make coaching more accessible and consistent
Parent-focused collaboration – I include parents in every step, helping you understand your child’s strengths and areas to support
I don’t believe neurodivergence needs to be “fixed.” My focus is on understanding, supporting, and building skills that help each child thrive on their own terms.
Getting Started
The process is simple:
Reach out via email (this is the best way to connect, as I’m usually too busy for unscheduled calls)
Schedule a free introductory session to meet your child, hear about your goals, and determine if coaching is a good fit
Discuss ongoing coaching options — weekly or biweekly — and create a schedule that works for your family
Your first session is completely free, with no obligation to continue.
My Promise to Families
I understand how stressful and confusing it can feel when your child is struggling or navigating challenges that feel invisible to the world. My promise is to provide a safe, affirming, and supportive space for your child — and guidance and reassurance for you.
Together, we’ll focus on building skills, confidence, and independence, while honoring your child’s unique strengths and needs. Families tell me that the combination of experience, understanding, and individualized attention makes all the difference, and that’s exactly what I strive to offer every session.
At True Understanding Online Autism Coaching, you and your child will not just be “seen” — you’ll be truly understood.
